Welcome
Welcome to the home of East London Rugby Club. We currently run 3 teams and are always looking for new members both to play and enjoy the social side of the club. If you are interested in playing why not come down to one of our training sessions or get in touch for more information. Details of all our senior sides are available on the teams tab.
There is a Youth setup at the Club which caters for ages 11-18 which train Thursday early evening and play Sunday mornings, for further details please see the youth section of the site.

Congratulations!
A massive pat on the back to all those involved at East London RFC this season. Our successes are a stark contrast to this time last year and should be a springboard from which we enjoy greater success in 2009-10. Some of these achievements are detailed below;
East London 1st XV – After being relegated last year having won just a single game the 1st team bounced back finishing 3rd losing games only to those placed above them. We hope that the results in divisions above run our way and that this will be enough for the side to be promoted back to where it belongs in Essex 1 next year. The 1’s also managed to reach the final of the Essex 1 & 2 division cup losing in a fiercely contested battle against the winners of the Essex league.
East London Wyverns - The Wyverns trumped the 1’s and won their division in style, playing the kind of fast paced rugby that struck fear into any visiting opposition. The division cup final also beckoned after some battling performances in the earlier rounds but in the end they were unable to capture the double. Even if you take away the league triumph and cup run the Wyverns have been winners all season, there team spirit and style of play has been the jewel in the crown of this season.
East London Development – Aah the development squad, I can quote what everyone including those that visit says “What a cracking bunch of lads”. A mix of young and old from veterans returning to those new to the game, this side has provided a lift to the club house as well as on the pitch. But these lads aren’t here to make up the numbers and they showed this by winning the Division Plate in just there first season together.
Memorial Park Opening

Memorial Park Opening
All this and we now have a brand new training facility available to us, the Memorial Park opening was conducted on the 30th of April with our Honorary President Sir Robin Wales, the Mayor of Newham and West Ham and England Legend Sir Trevor Brooking taking charge of proceedings. Come the start of the season the floodlit all weather third generation astro turf pitch will be at our disposal on Tuesday and Thursday nights. With any luck the seeding of the re-layed first team pitch will take and also be available come the end of 09-10 pre season.
